MRS. ARLENE MICHELS
MICHELS, MRS. ARLENE Ravenna, MI Arlene Michels, age 81, died very unexpectedly Thursday morning Feb. 21,
2002. Arlene was born August 20, 1920 to Edward and Violet (Merritt) Bitson. She is a member of Ravenna United Methodist Church,
Twisting Trails Snowmobile Club for 30 yrs. She was employed at Lockages Store for Men, 15 yrs. at Hazekamps Foods, 15 yrs
as a Bus driver for Ravenna Schools. Mom Arlene was active in TOPS - Ravenna. She liked to camp, snowmobile, knit, fish, travel,
and was very involved with her children and grandchildren. Arlene was predeceased by 2 sons, Robert (Bob) and Donald; son-in-law
Eugene Maycroft; granddaughter Leslie Cady; 2 brothers, Louis (Bud) Bitson and Donald Bitson. SURVIVORS: Husband of 65 yrs.
J. Edward Michels; 3 daughters, Mickey Maycroft of Coopersville, Lynn (Squeak) Lynn of Muskegon and Ruth (Carl) Harris of
Ravenna; 2 sons, Jim (Sue) Michels, and Larry Michels both of Ravenna; 27 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren;
brother, Raymond (Della) Bitson of Muskegon, and sister, Kay (Glenn) Phillips of Hart; 3 half brothers, Mayson Bitson, John
Bitson and Ed Bitson. SERVICES: Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at Ravenna United Methodist Church, Rev. Mary Ivanov officiating. Burial:
Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Muskegon. VISITATION: Today, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Throop Funeral Home, Ravenna. MEMORIAL: Ravenna
